Dental Implants

If you have severely damaged, extracted, or lost teeth, the best smile restoration option available is a dental implant. Dental implants are a permanent way to restore your smile with a prosthetic that matches the look and feel of your natural teeth. Dr. Brandon Huang wants to make sure that all of his New York, NY patients are confident with their restorative choice. Dr. Huang is happy to clear up any misconceptions and explain all of the benefits that dental implants have to offer.

The most common thing that patients want to know about dental implants is the process by which they are installed. Dental implants provide patients with a permanent and stable solution that is placed directly into the jaw bone. As the jaw heals, it surrounds the implant cylinder, creating the real-feel of a naturally rooted tooth. The result is a secure and long-lasting solution that also provides patients with a restoration that matches the shade and texture of the rest of their smile. On the surface, the custom created tooth is nearly indistinguishable from your other teeth. The entire dental implant process is completed over several months, as the implant needs time to fully heal, but the result is smile restorative that can last a lifetime.

Patients also want to know how dental implants are going to benefit their smile. While dental implants are an investment, proper care can make sure they stay secure and beautiful throughout your life. They don’t cause pain or discomfort, nor do they require a change in your diet or oral cleaning habits. As dental implants replace gaps or damaged teeth, they also reduce a patient’s risk of periodontal disease, jaw misalignment and other associated health issues that are often linked with damaged, extracted, or lost teeth. If you are in need of a tooth prosthetic and you want to improve your smile and confidence--while reducing your risk of periodontal disease, visit Dr. Brandon Huang to find out more about how dental implants can benefit you.

Dental Implants in New York, NY

If you’ve lost one tooth or multiple teeth due to extensive decay, gum disease or facial trauma, we can provide you with the solution you need to restore your oral health in New York, NY. Since teeth can shift out of place after a tooth has been removed, and since teeth that shift are more susceptible to disease and decay, New York Dental Studio offers dental implants to both restore the beauty of your smile and improve your oral health. While bridges or dentures can also be used to replace missing teeth, these options either require work to healthy teeth or are not permanent fixtures in the mouth. Dental implants, on the other hand, look and feel natural.

The first step of the implant process is to implant a titanium screw in the jawbone. This screw serves as your replacement tooth root and keeps your jaw from deteriorating or changing shape. Once the screw is in place, your jaw is left to heal around the implant in a process called osseointegration—a process that can take three to six months to complete. During this healing, you will receive a temporary crown for easier speaking and eating.

When the implant has healed, Dr. Brandon Huang will install the abutment, which acts as the foundation upon which your permanent crown is placed. An impression is then taken of the area, and the permanent crown is custom made and adhered to the abutment to give you a new smile that looks and functions like your natural teeth.

With our help, you can achieve an attractive and complete smile with dental implants. Schedule a consultation by calling (212) 588-1809. For more information, please visit www.newyorkdentalstudio.com.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is a dental specialty that helps patients to improve the appearance of their teeth. Dr. Brandon Huang offers our patients a variety of cosmetic dentistry procedures that whiten the teeth, cover imperfections and provide a more aesthetically pleasing smile.

Cosmetic dentistry is important because it helps patients feel more confident and smile more. In addition to these benefits, some of these cosmetic procedures protect the patient’s teeth, which helps save their natural teeth and avoid more involved dental procedures, like needing implants or partials, later on.

Here at New York Dental Studio, we provide multiple cosmetic dentistry options, including:
  • Veneers
  • Teeth Whitening
  • Bonding
  • Inlays and Onlays
Veneers are thin ceramic shells that are bonded over the patient’s teeth to improve their appearance and hide staining, gaps or misaligned teeth. Bonding is a type of filling that corrects any gaps or cracks in the teeth or in between them. Teeth whitening offered in our office gives our patients whiter teeth by up to 6-10 shades. Inlays and onlays are types of crowns, also known as partial crowns. They help teeth restore their strength and shape.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays
Restorative dental procedures are provided here at New York Dental Studio, which include inlays and onlays. These types of restorative procedures are completed using composite resin, and similar to a partial crown. It is the same basic procedure as fitting a crown, except they do not cover the tooth fully. Patients who want to cover decay or get fillings, have discoloration or staining, or have damage to their tooth from a crack or chip, benefit from inlays and onlays.

Inlays are placed inside the cusp of the tooth, while outlays are on the outside of the tooth. The basic procedure for inlays and onlays in our practice goes as follows:

1. Decayed parts of the tooth are first removed, as well as any infected areas.
2. The tooth is cleaned and sterilized thoroughly.
3. An impression is made of the tooth and sent to a dental lab. Temporary restorations are available.
4. In two weeks, patients return to have the inlay or onlay bonded to their tooth.

If you are in need of inlays or onlays, call our dentist Dr. Brandon Huang at 212-588-1809 to schedule an appointment.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants

Need a tooth replaced or restored in full? Here at New York Dental Studio, we provide dental implants to recomplete and enhance our patients’ smiles.  They serve as a realistic and long lasting restorative solution for teeth that have been extracted, accidentally lost or severely damaged.

Dental implants are as close as you can come to turning back the clock on a tooth. They provide a real look and feel that exceeds the results of surface prosthetics like bridges and full dentures. Since dental implants are rooted directly in the jaw, there’s no need for external framework or to modify healthy teeth to serve as support. They also require no special maintenance beyond proper brushing, flossing and regular dental checkups.

Dental implants offer a range of other benefits. To find out if they’re right for you, please arrange a consultation with us here at New York Dental Studio.
